With Massachusetts set to ban mattresses and box springs from the trash stream later this year, the city of Somerville on Monday launched a new recycling program.
To handle the launch of their mattress recycling program, Somerville used a state grant to hire Boston Carting to collect the items and Green Mattress Recycling to handle the materials.
